As Grand Champion Sponsor, Homemakers was granted the opportunity to have the second largest booth in the Varied Industries building, along with signage displayed throughout the Grandstand. As the sole designer for this project, I worked with upper management on this 3-year partnership. The largest piece of this was the 80'x20' booth, not just for design reasons, but for the logistics and strategy needed to pull off the activation.
The planning process kicks off at the beginning of the year with regular meetings to discuss goals, project details and next steps. For my part, I created an interactive booth that stood out from hundreds of other companies, informed and made visitors familiar with the company and increased website traffic through easy to scan QR codes on product tags. The booth also contained areas to drive engagement through photo opportunities and branded giveaways.
Throughout the exhibit I employed different design elements to highlight and boost awareness for the Homemakers brand. I created lightboxes, banners and enter to win signage. I also designed the $25 reward cards and the drawstring bags that fair-goers would carry throughout the grounds as they went about their day. I ensured the booth was ready for opening day by closely working with third party vendors and coordinating with the install team.
The work went beyond the Homemakers booth. I was also responsible for the design elements found on the VIP vehicle, concession stand banners, ticket stubs, and the static TV displays seen on the Grandstand's stage.
